Happy Belated New Year!
We thank everyone for their patience and anticipation for our first newsletter of the New Year!

We have a lot to catch up on, so let's get to it.

We are looking for people to help with the PAAD campaign, as well as fundraising, events for Parental Alienation Awareness Day-April 25th, and the Governors/Elected officials campaign. If you are interested in helping, we would love to learn more about you, by receiving a bit of bio information about yourself, what areas you are interested in, and which areas you would like to be involved with. We have had numerous enquiries about our next workshop. In order to be the most cost efficient for both PAAO and our members, we have decided upon having webinars this year instead of a physical workshop. This would allow us to bring in a number of experts from different regions, as well as participants/attendees being able to be in different regions. We are always looking to grow our membership. The bigger our membership grows the more seriously we are taken, and the more we can do better work and help more children. There is no fee to join, please go to http://www.paawareness.org/membership.asp to join. If you joined last year, please renew your membership with the same form.

PAAO has become aware of another US based organization that is calling itself PAAO and using our logo. Please note - they have NO affiliation whatsoever with us. If the domain name is not www.paawareness.org or www.parental-alienation-awareness.org, it probably is not Parental Alienation Awareness Organization (PAAO). If you have any doubts or concerns, please contact us directly at info@paawareness.org

PAAD Campaign


We are looking for representatives to ask their governors or elected officials to proclaim or recognize April 25th as Parental Alienation Awareness Day. We are pleased that the governors of the states of Florida, Indiana, Connecticut, Montana, Kentucky, Iowa, Maine, Nevada, and Nebraska, as well as the country of Bermuda, have issued either proclamations or recognition of April 25th as Parental Alienation Awareness Day so far.

The process is fairly easy and straightforward, and PAAO has the proclamation wording and petition request, along with statistics, articles, and much information about Parental Alienation. The requirement, however, is that a proclamation must be requested by, and sent to, a resident of that state/province or country.

We are calling on volunteers to request proclamations from their governors, MP's or elected officials, so that everyone everywhere will be made aware of the pain and damage parental alienation behaviors do to our children and families.

PAAO is working hard to bring you a series of Internet based webinars in April, 2008.

PAAO has done a great deal of work in exposing the tragedies created by Parental Alienation and Hostile Aggressive Parenting. Our membership has grown and our board of directors have worked tirelessly toward our goals. If you are a parent friend or relative of an alienated child, if you are a young or adult alienated child, or if you work with individuals or families of alienated children and have not joined as a member yet, do so now.

As our membership grows, the more we can do to help people understand the dynamics of Parental Alienation and Hostile Aggressive Parenting, and the effects these behaviors have on our children and families.

There is no fee.

to join. If you were a member with us last year, you will need to fill out the form again inorder to renew your membership.

Teddy Bear March

Our friends from F4J Canada are planning a Teddy Bear March to Parliament for Parental Alienation Awareness Day, April 25th. The idea is to place hundreds of bears, each holding photos or names of alienated children, on the steps of Parliament.

If you're interested in helping, please contact Sarvy Emo at sarvy@paawareness.org. We need to find corporate sponsors for donating bears, transport, etc.

If you'd like to send us your bear so we can place him/her on the steps, or would like to buy a bear from us and send us your photo, please contact Sarvy Emo with your request at sarvy@paawareness.org, and she will get back to you ASAP.
